The Miami-Dade Arena was rocking in this latest installment of the Celtics vs. Heat rivalry. The Miami Heat defeated the Boston Celtics 98-95 to earn their 27th victory. The Heat is now 27-22 overall. They also hold a 16-9 record at home. Bam Adebayo led the way for the Heat once again. Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra made his case for Bam Adebayo being named to the NBA All-Star team this season postgame.
“It’s not my nature to go out and campaign,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “I think he’s an All-Star and he showed it tonight. It’s a big win. It was on TV. I hope people notice.”
Bam Adebayo scored 30 points on 12-for-22 shooting. Adebayo hit 6-for-8 from the free-throw line. Adebayo also grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out an assist. Adebayo spoke postgame on his mindset coming into this game. The opponent knocked the Heat out of the Eastern Conference Finals last season. This was a payback game for Adebayo and the Miami Heat.
“They booted us in the Eastern Conference finals last year,” said Adebayo, averaging 21.6 points and 10.2 rebounds so far this season. “I feel like a lot of guys still carry that.”
