The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a big win in overtime against the Mavericks. The Lakers defeated the Mavericks 107-104 thanks to a clutch three-pointer by Lakers Guard, Austin Reaves knocked down the three-pointer from the right wing with 0.9 seconds left in overtime. Reaves scored 15 points on 5-for-6 shooting. All of his shots were from behind the three-point line. Including the biggest shot of the night and Reaves’ career so far. He spoke postgame about how he reacted and stepped up to make the biggest shot of his NBA career.
“There was about one second left, and I didn’t have anything to do but shoot it,” said Reaves, who played two seasons each at Wichita State and Oklahoma, signing a two-way contract with the Lakers in August that was converted to a regular contract in September. “Great pass, and I made a shot.”
LeBron James led the way for the Lakers in Dallas. James scored 24 points on 9-for-19 shooting from the field. he knocked down 4-for-9 from the three-point line. James also grabbed three rebounds and dished out five assists. James spoke postgame about how big Austin Reaves’ shot was postgame.
“We’ve got a lot of trust in whoever’s on the floor, including the rook,” James said. “Obviously, it showed on that last possession.
