The Miami Heat were able to get back in the win column after dropping back-to-back games earlier in the week. The Heat defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 115-110 to improve to 12-14 overall on the season. The Heat are also 9-5 overall at home this season. Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame regarding his team’s performance postgame.
“Both teams were going back and forth, pretty much the whole game, “Spoelstra said. “Our approach from the very beginning was this was going to take the whole 48 minutes, if not more… and stack play after play after play.”
Bam Adebayo led the way for the Heat. Adebayo scored 31 points on 14-for-21 shooting from the field. Adebayo also grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out four assists. He spoke postgame about the Heat’s focus and execution that enabled them to get the win.
“If we worry about ourselves, I feel like we’re going to be alright.”
Jimmy Butler returned to the lineup after missing the last game against the Detroit Pistons. Against the Clippers he had a big night. Butler scored 26 points on 10-for-12 shooting from the field. Butler knocked down 2-for-2 from behind the three-point line. Butler also grabbed five rebounds and dished out eight assists.
