The Utah Jazz are finalizing a contract agreement with free agent point guard Shaquille Harrison, according to Shams Charania and Tony Jones of The Athletic.
The deal is reportedly one year and the veteran’s minimum.
Harrison, 27, is 6-foot-7 and spent each of the past two seasons with the Chicago Bulls after going undrafted in 2016. He averaged 4.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 43 games last season.
He is mostly known for his defense, and that is an area in which the Jazz admittedly needed in their backcourt.
Harrison will join a Jazz backcourt rotation that currently consists of the likes of Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley Jr., Jordan Clarkson, Nigel Williams-Goss and two-way rookie Trent Forrest.
