The Washington Wizards head to Dallas to take on the Mavericks on Saturday night. After a 101-99 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Ahead of the Wizards and Mavericks game, Jason Kidd took some time after Friday’s practice to assess the play of three of his former players Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope this season.
“They are playing at a high level! Kuz is playing both ends, KCP has always played both ends, Montrezz at the end of the game causing havoc,” Kidd said.
All three are playing great in Washington and that has helped them be one of the best teams in the East.
“KCP is shooting the three extremely well and he’s always played the defensive end, so those three are playing well for Washington,” the former NBA point guard continued. “…So, we have our work cut out for us. Those three, love to compete and love to play basketball, so I’m happy for their success.”
Kidd coached all three players while serving as an assistant coach on the Lakers.
The Wizards enter Saturday’s game 12-7 and are currently fourth in the east, while the Mavericks are 10-7 and are fourth in the west.
