Khris Middleton left the Bulls-Bucks game on Wednesday night during the fourth quarter and was diagnosed with a sprained MCL. The wing is expected to have an MRI on Thursday.
Milwaukee also lost Bobby Portis in the contest, as the big man suffered an eye abrasion. Game 3 is in Chicago on Friday (series tied at 1-1) and oddsmakers have the Bulls at +225 to win advance to the next round.
More NBA Injury Notes
- Luka Doncic hasn’t yet played in the Jazz-Mavericks series, though he told our own Landon Buford that he’s “feeling good” and there’s optimism that he’ll suit up either in Game 3 on Thursday or Game 4 on Friday.
- Devin Booker‘s hamstring injury is believed to be mild, though it appears unlikely that he’ll be able to play in Games 3 or 4 against the Pelicans, Woj explains while adding that the Suns are continuing to evaluate Bookers’ MRI.
- John Collins returned from his finger injury in Tuesday night’s loss to the Heat, though the big man is apparently still not 100%. “I feel like I’m as good as I can be right now,” said Collins, who played 21 minutes in Game 2 (via The Atlanta Journal-Constitution). “Trying to take all the precautions and all the treatments. Only thing I can do. Obviously, I’m still in some pain. But I feel like everybody’s in some type of pain this time of year, at some point. Mine might be a little bit more than normal, but I’m still trying to do what I can.”
- Rumors about when Ben Simmons will make his Nets debut continue to swirl and the latest from ESPN indicates that Game 4 is a “realistic target” date for the 3-time All-Star to suit up. Simmons is participating in 4-on-4 activities and has more steps to go before playing becomes a certainty.
