The Miami Heat won big over the visiting Houston Rockets, 113-91, on Monday knocking down 19 3-pointers along the way. When a team is feeling it, it is just feeling it.
The Heat put together this strong performance without three of their leading scorers — as Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro were all missing in action. Those three combine to average 55 points a game. They are also still missing Victor Oladipo to a knee injury. Oladipo averages 20 points on the season as well. So that is a huge chunk of the offense on the sideline. Yet the Heat were still able to step up and put 113 points on the board.
This says a lot about how well president Pat Riley has been able to put this Heat team together. They are extremely deep and will be super dangerous again come playoff time. Andre Iguodala spoke on the “Heat culture” and how the team has the next-man-up mentality.

“That’s our culture, guys being ready to go and guys wanting to leave their mark on the game,” said Iguodala, who scored 16 points. “Tonight was one of those nights where we had a lot of guys leave their mark.”

The Heat received strong performances from a few players. Kendrick Nunn led the charge with 30 points on 12-of-20 shooting. He also grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 8 assists in 39 minutes of play.
Duncan Robinson scored 19 points and also knocked down five threes. Goran Dragic added 19 points off of the bench. He also grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 5 assists.
Basically, the Heat got strong contributions across the board and were able to coast to an easy victory. They look to extend the winning streak to three games on Wednesday when they face off against the San Antonio Spurs. The game is in San Antonio and tipoff is at 8:30 pm Eastern.
