The Miami Heat could make Kelly Olynyk available in trade talks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said on his podcast.
Olynyk is a big who can stretch the floor, knock down the 3-pointer and serve as a playmaker, which is a very valuable asset to contending teams.
The Heat have recently been linked to LaMarcus Aldridge, so Olynyk’s salary could help a trade with the San Antonio Spurs come to fruition.
Gregg Popovich is a master at utilizing bigs with Olynyk’s skillset, so San Antonio may not be a bad spot for the Canadian.
Other teams that could make sense for Olynyk are the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics, as both have a need for a big man who can stretch the floor.
