The Miami Heat continued their winning ways with a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Miami. The Heat defeated the Cavs 113-98. They have now won 11 out of the their last 12 games and are the hottest team in the NBA.
Unlike a lot of the recent games where the scores were close, this one was a fairly easy victory. Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke his piece on how he felt the win went for his team.
“It was a little bit up and down, our game,” Spoelstra said. “There was some sloppiness to it, some miscues defensively. But overall, we made enough plays to come out with the win.”
Jimmy Butler has been on a tear lately. This game was no different. Butler scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. He is the catalyst that make the Heat go. Since he came back from his hiatus the Heat have been rolling.
The Heat also got solid contributions from others on the squad. Kelly Olynyk has been playing well. He dropped 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Tyler Herro scored 15 points. Bam Adebayo returned to action and scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
