The Atlanta Hawks are guaranteeing the contract of small forward Solomon Hill for the remainder of the season, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Hill’s deal is for $2.1 million, but until this point, had been nonguaranteed. He has appeared in each of the Hawks’ first 14 games and is averaging 5.0 points and 2.9 rebounds on the season.
Hill, 29, signed with the Hawks in late November, just ahead of training camp.
He has been a journeyman of sorts recently, appearing in 48 games with the Memphis Grizzlies prior to being dealt to the Miami Heat at the NBA trade deadline in February.
Hill is 6-foot-6 and averaged 5.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in a total of 59 regular season games. He made just seven playoff appearances during the Heat’s run to the Finals last season.
He has also spent time with the New Orleans Pelicans and Indiana Pacers, the team which which his career began.
