The Atlanta Hawks were without their best player and leader, Trae Young in Game 4. This did not affect them negatively, as the Hawks were able to come together in his absence and secure a big win over the Bucks.
The series is now tied 2-2 after the Hawks scored a 110-88 blowout victory. All of a sudden the series is tied and momentum is in the Hawks’ favor. Especially with the unfortunate Hyperextension of the knee injury that the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered in Game 4. Now, an NBA Finals berth for the Atlanta Hawks seems extremely likely.
Lou Williams stepped up huge in place of Trae Young in the starting lineup. Williams is a supreme bucket getter, but usually gets his points off of the bench. He knew he would have to bring that energy and even more as the starting point guard.
Williams scored 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field. He also hit 2-of-3 from three-point range. He also grabbed five rebounds and dished out eight assists. Williams spoke on his mindset going into Game 4 once he learned he would play more of a pivotal role with Trae Young out.

“I knew about an hour before this game that I was going to start, when they said Trae was out, so I just had to refocus my energy, put on a different hat and get ready for the game,” Williams said.
