Free agent point guard Rajon Rondo has agreed to a two-year contract with the Atlanta Hawks, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
The deal is for $15 million, Haynes added.
Rondo had been linked to the Hawks and several others, including the Boston Celtics, by multiple media outlets.
He spent last season playing a key role in the Los Angeles Lakers’ run to the championship — but was not expected to return to LA after the team traded for point guard Dennis Schroder, formerly of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Rondo, 34, averaged 8.9 points and 6.6 assists in 16 playoff games.
