The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a contract with LA Clippers free agent forward Montrezl Harrell, according to multiple reports.
The deal is said to be for two years and about $20 million. Harrell turned down a larger offer from the Charlotte Hornets, per Brad Turner of the LA Times.
Harrell, 26, was named NBA Sixth Man of the Year after averaging career-highs of 18.6 points and 7.1 rebounds. Some have theorized his departure from the Clippers may have opened the door for the team to sign Tristan Thompson, a free agent from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Both Thompson and Harrell are clients of agent Rich Paul.
