The Milwaukee Bucks are on a roll. They handled their business and protected home court in this best of seven first-round series against the Miami Heat, as their Game 2 132-98 win was never in doubt.
Giannis Antetokounmpo the way for the Bucks with 31 points on 12-of-23 shooting from the field; He did so in 31 minutes of play while also grabbing 13 rebounds and dishing out six assists. Giannis was beaten up this game, including a hard foul by Trevor Ariza which resulted in a Flagrant Foul. Giannis is aware that’s what comes with Playoff basketball and he is keeping his cool.
“A team like Miami, they’re always physical,” Antetokounmpo said. “When you go to the paint, they’re going to hit you. … That’s why they’re a really good team. At the end of the day, I’ve got to keep my composure.”
Bryn Forbes had a huge game for the Bucks. After spending his first four seasons with the Spurs he signed with the Bucks in Free Agency this past November. Forbes chose to sign with Milwaukee because he knew he would be in a position to compete in the Postseason and for a Championship.
“That was a huge part in me coming here,” Forbes said. “You know that there would be these opportunities and we would be in the playoffs. … It’s just great to be in this position, be in the playoffs again and have an opportunity and stage.”
Forbes scored 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 20 minutes off of the bench for the Bucks. He shot 7 of 12 from the field. He also shot 6 of 9 from the three-point line. He shot extremely well and his team did as well. Forbes spoke on the Bucks’ hot shooting which led to a big-time victory.
“It’s just how the game goes,” Forbes said. “It’s ebbs and flows. Some games you’re open a lot more. Some games you aren’t. Tonight I think we moved the ball great and had a lot of open shots.”
Other Bucks players stepped up as well.
