NBA free agent power forward Johnny O’Bryant has been suspended by Serbian club Crvena Zvezda for 10 days after a verbal confrontation with his coach, according to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.
The incident occurred during a game against Turkey’s Anadolu Efes in EuroLeague play. Crvena Zvezda is coached by Dejan Radonjić and having a tough season with a record of 7-15.
O’Bryant is 6-foot-9 and was originally drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2014 draft. Along with the Bucks, he spent time with the Denver Nuggets and Charlotte Hornets.
He last appeared in the NBA with the Hornets during the 2017-18 season, and carries career averages of 3.4 points and 2.5 rebounds.
Along with the NBA, he has played in the G League, as well as for Israeli power Maccabi Tel Aviv. O’Bryant signed with Crvena Zvezda in October.
