Bradley Beal missed Saturday’s loss against the Bucks with a sore knee but he returned on Monday. After the contest, Beal told FortyEightMinutes and other media that his absence was a “precautionary thing,” as the Wizards were on the second night of a back-to-back.
The shooting guard reiterated that his knee is feeling better and it shouldn’t be a major issue going forward.
The Wizards have lost 6-of-7 games and are now 14-24 on the season.
More From The Eastern Conference
- The Magic are listening to offers for several players, including Terrence Ross, Evan Fournier, and Nikola Vucevic, Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report relays. Some executives around the league believe that Orlando could net a late first-rounder for either Ross or Fournier, however, a deal that includes multiple seconds is more likely.
- Boston appears to be focused on acquiring LaMarcus Aldridge over Nikola Vucevic, Fischer adds. However, that could be because the Celtics’ offer to the Magic for the center hasn’t appealed to Orlando’s front office.
- One Eastern Conference executive told Fischer (same piece) that the Magic should be sellers at the trade deadline and aim to slide down the standings. “They own their first-round pick. If you can get that pick into the top five, and you’re adding back Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz next season, all of a sudden things could look very different.”
- ICYMI: The Celtics are exploring offers for Tristan Thompson and the Raptors are in the mix.
