The Clippers have reached an agreement with Luke Kennard on a four-year, $64 million contract extension, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
The shooting guard averaged 15.8 points over his 28 games played with the Pistons during the 2019-20 season. Kennard was experiencing a breakout campaign until knee tendinitis forced him to miss time.
Kennard came to Los Angeles during a three-team, draft-night trade that sent Landry Shamet to Brooklyn and the No. 19 overall pick (Saddiq Bey) to Detroit. At the time, it was reported that the Nets had a chance to obtain Kennard, instead, opting to flip him for Shamet.
