Shooing guard Antonio Blakeney scored a game-high 23 points, but it wasn’t enough, as a Canton Charge rally fell short in a 111-108 overtime loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors on Tuesday.
Point guard Sheldon Mac added 21 points, and forward Sir’Dominic Pointer had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Canton (2-3), which trailed by 24 in the second half and 19 in the fourth quarter before charging back.
Rookie forward/center Kaleb Wesson sealed the victory for the Warriors with a traditional three-point play in OT, finishing with 20 points and 10 boards. Rookie guard Nico Mannion tacked on 20 points and 10 assists.
Canton next faces the Agua Caliente Clippers on Friday at 7 p.m. EST. All games are being held on the Walt Disney Campus in Orlando.
