Tristan Thompson just signed with the Boston Celtics, but the veteran center and former champion could be on the move again already.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the Celtics are exploring the idea of trading Thompson, with his hometown Toronto Raptors being among the potential destinations.
Thompson, 30, is 6-foot-9 and signed a two-year deal worth $19 million before the season. But the Celtics are looking into several deals with the March 25 trade deadline fast approaching.
Thompson is averaging 7.9 points and 8.3 rebounds as a regular starter. He spent the first nine years of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, winning a title in 2016.
The Raptors have been linked to Thompson dating back to last season. They reportedly aim to acquire a veteran big man ahead of the deadline as they make another playoff push.
