The Celtics intend to exercise the team contraction options on forward/center Robert Williams, forward Grant Williams and shooting guard Romeo Langford, former Suns GM and current NBA insider Ryan McDonough passed along in a tweet.
Robert Williams is 6-foot-8 and was the 27th overall pick in 2018. He appeared in 29 games last season and averaged 5.2 points and 4.4 rebounds. He is averaging 8.0 points in two games so far this season.
Grant Williams is 6-6 and was selected with the 22nd overall pick in 2019. He appeared in 69 games as a rookie, averaging 3.4 points and 2.6 rebounds.
And Langford is 6-4 and was selected with the 14th overall pick in 2019. He suffered a major wrist injury and underwent surgery as a rookie, but still managed to play a bit role in 32 games, as well as seven playoff games.
