Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown will miss the rest of the season due to a torn ligament in his left wrist, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Brown effectively finishes the season with averages of 24.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, which helped him earn his first-ever All-Star Game appearance this season. Brown also averaged 48.4 percent shooting from the floor including 39.7 percent from three.
The Celtics currently occupy the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference, which will give them a spot in the play-in tournament if the season were to end today. They’re currently two games behind the Miami Heat for the sixth spot, as the two teams will face off again on Tuesday after Boston took the loss to Miami on Sunday.
