The Cavaliers have been in touch with T.J. Warren‘s camp as they look to make additions once free agency begins, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
Cleveland has three open roster spots at the moment and they are likely to only be armed with the $10.5 million non-taxpayer mid-level exceptions to offer free agents.
Guard Options For Cleveland
There’s also interest from the team in acquiring Tyus Jones, sources tell Fedor. Jones had been linked to the Wizards, though there were rumblings that the point guard was looking for a payday larger than the NTMLE. Jones is also looking for a landing spot where he can start and that path in Cleveland is murky.
Ricky Rubio returning to the team remains likely and despite recovering from a torn ACL, he’s likely to command a portion of the mid-level.
Fedor lists several other options for Cleveland. Aaron Holiday, Jevon Carter, and Delon Wright are chief among them.
