The Miami Heat are officially on a ROLL. They earned their fourth straight victory in Miami with a 116-108 win over the Toronto/Tampa Bay Raptors. Since Jimmy Butler‘s return from being out with COVID-19, the team has hit its stride.
They are getting back to playing “MIAMI HEAT BASKETBALL.” Heat basketball consists of hard-nosed defense, great offensive spacing, and efficiency, along with paying great attention to detail. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra has his guys clicking on all cylinders. He spoke on his team’s together and Jimmy Butler’s leadership.
“Everybody that played contributed at different points in the game,” Spoelstra said. βAnd then Jimmy’s game was the quintessential, all-around winning basketball game.”
Jimmy Butler is getting back to the strong play that he displayed in the NBA Bubble last season. He scored 27 points against the Raptors. 14 of those points in the 4th quarter. He also grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 10 assists. That’s the definition of controlling all facets of a basketball game. Butler led the Heat to their 4th straight win and they look to keep it going.
Bam Adebayo had a big night with 19 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal. When Bam is on his game like this the Heat are tough to beat. His skill set is so unique that he can dominate the game in multiple facets. With Bam and Jimmy on their A-games, this usually results in a Heat victory.
The Heat face the red hot Utah Jazz Friday in Miami. This will be a great test to see if the Heat is ready to make a great run this season.
