The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off an NBA Championship and although their roster looks equipped to make another run at the Larry O’Brien, there always seems to be room for improvement. The team has signed four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins to a one-year non-guaranteed deal with that in mind.
The deal works in Milwaukee’s favor as Cousins averaged a mere 8.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 41 games last season with time on both the Rockets and Clippers. Don’t expect Cousins to see a whole lot of action, especially with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez doing the heavy lifting at the big man position.
If Cousins pans out better than most would expect, Milwaukee could have made one of the better signings this season and that will prove so down the stretch in the postseason. Only time will tell if Cousins can be a solid rotational player coming off the bench for the defending champs…
