The Washington Wizards have released forward/center Jordan Bell, according to multiple reports.
But it’s not all bad news, as Bell will sign with the Capital City Go Go for the G League bubble, per JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors. Capital City is Washington’s G League affiliate.
Bell, 26, was signed last weekend after the Wizards were decimated with players sidelined because of COVID-19 protocols. He appeared in three games and averaged 3.3 points and 5.3 rebounds.
But with the six players due to return this week, Bell was the odd man out.
Bell was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Lakers before the season, then immediately waived by LA.
He is 6-foot-8 and has also spent time with the Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies. He was signed by the Cavs when the NBA briefly opened the transaction window in June.
