Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal is often at the center of trade rumors but that’s not because of anything Beal says.
Instead, Beal reiterated that he hopes to stay with the Wizards for a long time, perhaps his entire career.
“That would mean the world, man. I’m a loyal guy,” Beal said during an appearance with the On the Road podcast. “I want to be here. I’m here. I’ve signed my extension. And that will mean the world to me. That honestly would you know, being able to finish your career in one place? You know, you don’t see that in today’s game.”
Beal, 27, has one season remaining on the two-year extension in 2019. He averaged career-highs of 30.5 points and 6.1 assists in 57 appearances this past season.
The Wizards own the No. 9 draft pick and are expected to have John Wall back in the backcourt with Beal next season.
