The Suns did their job and did the first part of protecting home by earning a 122-105 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Game 1 is now in the books. The Suns were led by Chris Paul, βThe Point God.β After catching a little bump to his shoulder early in the game he winced a little bit. After that incident, he was cooking with mid-range jumpers. CP3 scored 21 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and dished out 11 assists on the night.
“It was fun to get out there and be involved,” Paul said. “That last series β that was tough β but I’m glad to be back helping the team.”
The Suns trailed most of the first half. In the second half the team started to really get cooking. Shots were falling and the execution was at a high level. A semi-healthy to healthy Chris Paul is the catalyst for this Suns team to play at a high level. The goal is to now keep Chris healthy and things should take care of itself as far as the Suns playing well and even possibly advancing in these Playoffs.
