Update: Beal was diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and will be sidelined for the Wizards’ next two games, the team announces in a press release.
Washington plays at Atlanta on Monday and again on Wednesday.
Bradley Beal recorded his fifth-career 50 points game on Saturday night, though he wasn’t able to finish the contest.
Beal is dealing with several injuries, as Scott Brooks revealed to FortyEightMinutes and other media in the Wizards’ postgame zoom. The coach said it was a tweaked hamstring that caused Beal to leave the game while adding the shooting guard injured his ankle as well.
“Hopefully, we can get him back in a couple of days,” said Russell Westbrook, who tied Oscar Robinson for the most triple-double ever in the contest, said postgame on the NBC Sports broadcast.
The Wizards’ next game is against the Hawks on Monday night.
