The Orlando Magic delivered a gutsy, come-from-behind performance to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 103-96 in Staples.
Magic rookie Chuma Okeke seems to be coming into his own. He was able to put together another good game and led the Magic to victory. Okeke scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. He also grabbed 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Wendell Carter Jr. scored 11 points off of the bench for the Magic. He spoke on what this win means for his ball club.
“This league is all about wins. We took a great step forward in the right direction,” Carter said. “It definitely is a confidence booster going up against one of the best teams in the Western Conference and getting a win on the road.”
The Magic got key contributions off of the bench. Terrence Ross scored 15 points off of the bench. Otto Porter Jr. scored 13 points. Mo Bamba scored 12 points off of the bench.
If the Magic can continue to play great defense and get key contributions from their bench they could get done wins. This win against the Clippers is a step in the right direction.
