Several teams are interested in trading for Bradley Beal this offseason, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.
The teams that were mentioned are the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and New Orleans Pelicans, but one league source said that the Toronto Raptors are a sleeper team for the league’s leading scorer, as that may have been a reason that Masai Ujiri didn’t end up trading away Kyle Lowry given his belief that they can get back to being contenders next season.
A deal for Beal would almost certainly have to include a package surrounding OG Anunoby and Fred VanVleet in addition to multiple first-round picks. If Toronto wants to go all in for one last run with Lowry, then this is a move they’ll need to make.
The Knicks are intriguing as well, as they’re finally looking like a franchise that has a winning culture surrounding it. Having Beal drop 30 points every night would be a beautiful sight for die-hard Knicks fans to see in Madison Square Garden on a consistent basis.
