A four-part documentary on the popular TNT “Inside The NBA” pre- and postgame program will air from Thursday through Sunday this week, as relayed by Mark Medina of USA Today.
“The Inside Story” will give a look at the show that features former NBA players Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith, and is hosted by Ernie Johnson, a longtime member of the Turner Sports family. Barkley and O’Neal are both members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
“Following the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans game on Thursday, the first episode will feature Johnson on how he has mastered being the show’s ‘traffic cop,'” Medina reported. “The second episode will air on Friday at 9 pm ET, highlighting how Smith became a ‘role player’ during his 12-year NBA career and his 23-year- run with TNT.
“The third episode, which will on Saturday at 9 p.m., will focus on Barkley’s role as the entertainer since 2000. The fourth and final episode will air on Sunday following the NBA All-Star game, highlighting how O’Neal became the show’s ‘little brother’ for the past nine years after spending a 19-year NBA career as a dominant big man.”
