ORLANDO — The Orlando Magic won their third straight game Sunday evening against the Detroit Pistons. They defeated Detroit 105-96. This is Magic’s longest winning streak since they opened the 2020-2021 season with a 4-0 record. Evan Fournier scored 29 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and 7 assists this game. He had some great things to say as far as how the Magic have been approaching these past few games.
โWhat Iโm seeing is that weโre starting the game well and we finished it well, so there are a lot of positives,โ said Fournier, who suffered a mild ankle sprain late in the game. โWe had one or two stretches where we werenโt as good on defense and not executing, but we kept fighting and got the (win).โ
Nikola Vucevic led the team once again with 37 points and 12 rebounds. This performance against Detroit was his seventh 30 point game of the season. We had a chance to ask Vucevic about his confidence in his game right now. He is feeling great right now and it shows.
“I’ve been feeling good and obviously I’ve been playing at a high level since the beginning of the year,โ Vucevic said. โOnce you get in a good rhythm, the game comes easier to you, you don’t think so much about stuff and my experience from this being my 10th year helps.โ
The Magic look to win their 4th game in a row on Tuesday night. They will be playing this same Detroit Pistons team at the Amway Center. Tip-off is at 7 pm.
