When Steph Curry is feeling it, he is FEELING IT. This game against the Orlando Magic was one of those nights.
Curry’s career-high for three’s in a game is 12. Last night he came close to that. Knocking down 10 three-pointers. He also grabbed 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Steve Clifford, the Head Coach of the Orlando Magic had nothing but praise for Curry. Who is also friends with Steph’s father, Dell Curry.
“I just told him he looks great, he looks quick, he looks healthy, he looks like heβs loving it,β Clifford said. βHeβs playing as well or better than he was before.β
Clifford knew it would be a tall task to stop Curry. The Magic slowed him in the second half. Unfortunately, the Magic came up short, 111-105. Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr realizes that it is a privilege to coach Steph and he admitted this.
“It is routine, which is the crazy part of it. You just come to expect it,β coach Steve Kerr said. “These 3s that he hits when thereβs nothing there offensively and he just uses his dribble to free himself up, not exactly with a ton of space just a few inches of space, then he rises and you expect every one of them to go in, itβs just crazy.”
Golden State plays in Orlando against the Magic on Friday, 2/19. The Magic realize that they can hang with the Warriors and even possibly beat them. They have to make sure to locate Steph on all those three’s he takes. Make someone else beat you on the Warriors. If they can do that they have a shot. The Magic are also improving each game. Even though the game against the Warriors ended in a loss, it is something to build on as the season progresses.
