The Knicks have hired Nick Restifo to oversee the team’s coaching analytics, according to Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic.
Restifo held a similar position under Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau with the Timberwolves, Restifo serving as a basketball operations analyst in Minnesota when Thibodeau was coach/GM.
Restifo has also worked as a data scientist in Orlando and as the basketball analytics coordinator at the University of New Haven, and is former NBA writer for FanSided.
The Knicks were 5-4 under Thibodeau through Saturday.
