Magic Notes: Vucevic, 4-0, Fultz, Bacon

Reading Time: 2 mins read

The Magic improved to 4-0 so far in this early NBA season. They defeated the Thunder 118-107 in Oklahoma City. The Magic have been playing good, team basketball. This team for the most part has been together for a few years now. So the chemistry is starting to build. Coming off of back to back NBA Playoff appearances in 2019 and 2020, the Magic look ready to take the next step. The Magic are 4-0 to start a regular season for the first time in franchise history. Nikola Vucevic after the win last night stated how proud he is of his team so far.

“We’re happy where we are, to start the season 4-0, but we also at the same time are aware that there are so many things we can do better, especially on the defensive end,” Vucevic said. “The positive is knowing that we were able to win, so now we can work on those things and get better and take a step forward.”

If the Magic continue to play balanced, team-ball they could make some noise out East and surprise some folks come playoff time.

More From Orlando

  • Vucevic led the way for Orlando with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Vucevic is playing some inspired basketball and has Orlando sitting atop of the NBA’s Eastern Conference standings in the process.
  • Markelle Fultz has done an excellent job running the show from the Point Guard position for the Magic. He finished last night’s win vs. the Thunder with 11 points and 10 assists.
  • Dwayne Bacon stepped up big last night against the Thunder. He finished the game with 18 points on 9 of 10 shooting from the field. He also pulled down 8 rebounds in the contest.
  • What’s next for the Magic? Orlando’s next game is New Year’s Eve vs. the Philadelphia 76er’s in Orlando. The game can be seen at 6:30 pm Eastern time on NBA TV.
