The Heat have waived small forward B.J. Johnson, according to a release from the team.
Johnson was signed by the Heat on Dec. 4 and appeared in two preseason games. After going undrafted out of LaSalle in 2018, he appeared in a total of seven games with the Hawks and Kings.
Most of his experience has come in the G League with the Lakeland Magic, Orlando’s affiliate.
Johnson, 24, is 6-foot-7 and attended high school at Philadelphia’s Lower Merion, the alma mater of later Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.
