The Rockets intend to sign former Georgetown center/forward Trey Mourning, according to Kelly Iko of The Athletic.
Mourning is 6-foot-9 and the son of longtime NBA center Alonzo Mourning, another former Hoya and the second overall draft pick in 1992.
The Rockets’ deal with Trey Mourning is most likely an Exhibit 10 contract, which would include a $50,000 bonus should he remain with the team’s G-League affiliate for at least 60 days.
Mourning went undrafted in 2019 and spent last season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the G League, appearing in 36 games and averaging 5.6 points and 2.9 rebounds.
