The Pistons have waived guard/forward LiAngelo Ball, forward Louis King and forward Anthony Lamb, as relayed by James Edwards III of The Athletic.
Ball, of course, is the younger brother of Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball and older brother of Hornets rookie LaMelo Ball. Both LiAngelo Ball and Lamb were training camp invites and long shots to make the final roster.
Meanwwhile, King had been signed to a two-way contract for the second consecutive season. That opens a two-way slot for the Pistons, with second-round pick Saben Lee holding the other.
Lamb and King each made a brief appearance in the Pistons’ first preseason game. All three players have a shot at making the Pistons’ G League roster — though it’s been reported the Grand Rapids Drive will in fact skip the G League bubble.
The Pistons’ roster now stands at 17.
