Portland Trail Blazers guard Gary Trent Jr. has signed with agent Rich Paul and Klutch Sports, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Trent will be represented by both Paul and agent Lucas Newton, Wojnarowski added.
Trent was outstanding during the NBA restart on the Disney campus, averaging 16.9 points and shooting 51 percent during the eight seeding games.
“As a former second-round pick, Trent won’t be eligible for a rookie scale extension before his first NBA contract ends,” Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors noted. “However, he’ll be able to sign a veteran extension this offseason, as Bobby Marks of ESPN observes.”
Klutch Sports’ growing list of clients already included major players such as LeBron James and Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers), Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks), Ben Simmons (Philadelphia 76ers), John Wall (Washington Wizards) and Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors).
Paul, 38, is a native of Cleveland and attended high school at Benedictine.
