The Los Angeles Lakers did their job and protected their home court.
Game 4 of the series between Los Angeles took more of a valiant effort from LeBron James & Co. and the team got the job done in overtime. The Lakers’ 117-111 win sets the franchise up 3-1 in the series.
James once again provided end-of-game heroics as he has done many times in his career. James hit the game-tying layup with 0.8 seconds to send the game into Overtime. From there the Lakers took control and earned the victory.
LeBron James’ Postgame Message
James spoke about his performance as well as his team’s postgame.
“I just try to be as great as I can be offensively, but more importantly on the defensive end,” James said. “That was the mindset tonight. I was able to make a couple of plays. … My teammates told me I had 20 and 20. It’s the first time I’ve done it in my career, so that’s pretty cool, I guess.”
LeBron James scored 22 points on 8-for-18 shooting. James hit 1-for-7 from the three-point line. He also hit 5-for-7 from the free-throw line. James also grabbed 20 rebounds, dished out seven assists, and blocked two shots.

Austin Reaves led the Lakers in scoring with 23 points. Reaves shot 7-for-16 from the field. Reaves knocked down 2-for-5 from the three-point line. He knocked down 7-for-8 from the free-throw line. Reaves also grabbed four rebounds, dished out six assists, and recorded a steal. Los Angeles’ other major contributions include:
- Jarred Vanderbilt scored 15 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out an assist.
- D’Angelo Russell scored 17 points, grabbed one rebound, and dishedout three assists.
- Anthony Davis scored 12 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out two assists.
- Dennis Schroder scored 12 points off the bench.
