The Sixers completed their home-in-home back-to-back against the Heat with a win in Miami. The Sixers beat the Heat 119-96 to earn their 40th victory. The Sixers are now 40-21 overall. The Heat dropped to 33-30 overall. The Sixers are now in third place in the East. The Heat now sits in seventh place in the East. The Sixers got the win without their Superstar Center, Joel Embiid. Surprisingly, the Sixers are 9-4 without their Center. Sixers Head Coach Doc Rivers spoke postgame on his team’s play and how they will be playing 15 road games in 40 days coming up.
“We’ll be fine. We’ll get through it,” Rivers said. “The key is winning as many of these games as you can during this stretch and then being healthy. You have to try to figure out both. If this was early in the year, you’d rest guys way more because you want to get through the year. In the second half, you’re trying to ramp guys up more. And that’s a tougher task given our number of games.”
Tyrese Maxey led the way for the Sixers with 27 points. He scored his 27 on 10-for-17 shooting. Maxey knocked down 4-for-7 from the three-point line. He knocked down 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. Maxey also grabbed four rebounds and dished out seven assists.
James Harden scored 23 points on 6-for-15 shooting. Harden knocked down 4-for-9 from the three-point line. He knocked down 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. He grabbed seven rebounds and dished out five assists.
