The Los Angeles Lakers have a brand new look after the trade deadline. All of their new additions made their debut against the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. LeBron James sat out due to a sore foot and ankle. The Lakers still earned the 109-103 despite James’ absence from the lineup. D’Angelo Russell spoke about himself and his teammates who came over in the trade and how they had to adapt on the fly during his postgame interview.
“It was a little weird but I’m trying to normalize it,” said Russell, who also played 33 games for the Warriors during the 2019-20 season. “The sooner the better. I’ve been in this situation. … After that first stint, you kind of get comfortable again. When you get traded so many times the irony comes back with all these teams and just kind of normalize it.”
Dennis Schroder led the way for the Lakers with 26 points on 7-for-12 shooting. Schroder knocked down 3-for-4 from the three-point line. He hit 9-for-11 from the free-throw line. Schroder also grabbed three rebounds and dished out three assists.
