The Miami Heat just defeated the Milwaukee Bucks for the second time in three days at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida. This time the Heat defeated the Bucks 111-95 to earn their 24th victory of the season. The Heat now holds a 24-20 record overall. That is good for seventh in the NBA’s Eastern Conference standings. The Heat also sits in first place in the Southeast Division as well. Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame about the Heat’s performance postgame.
“What I do commend and what you want out of a team is growing from your experiences, particularly if you have some tough times, adversity,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “The grit that we’re developing is that even when there are some uneven times during a game, we understand that it’s a long game. You have to work the game. You try to wear on teams, particularly defensively.”
Gabe Vincent led the way for the Heat. He has been on a tear since he stepped in as the starting Point Guard for the Heat in place of Kyle Lowry. Vincent scored 27 points on 11-for-14 shooting from the field. Vincent knocked down 5-for-8 from the three-point line. He also grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, and recorded five steals. Vincent spoke on his performance postgame.
“I think I was just in a rhythm and my guys did a really good job of getting me open,” said Vincent, who shot 11 for 14 from the field. “And I made some shots, which is helpful. I’m trying to stay aggressive. Just trying to impact any way I can.”
Bam Adebayo scored 20 points shooting 9-for-19 from the field. Adebayo grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out two assists as well. Adebayo spoke postgame about the Heat beginning to come together as a unit and enjoying the game of basketball again.
“I feel like in this stretch, we’ve been enjoying basketball,” Adebayo said. “You see it on the court. We’re way more connected than we’ve been since the beginning of the season.”
