“I was trying to give myself the best chance to make a play,” Kuzma said. “I caught the ball, I looked left, and many teams are forcing me left. I just had Delon (Wright) get flat a little bit. I knew I had (Alex) Caruso on me and he’s one of the better defenders in the league. Give me a chance to pick either way instead of being directed in one. … Rose and shot it and it went in.”
Kyle Kuzma led the charge for the Wizards. Kuzma scored 21 points on 9-for-20 shooting. Kuzma knocked down 1-for-4 from the three-point line. He hit 2-for-3 from the free-throw line. Kuzma also grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists.
