The Orlando Magic have now won three games in a row. This is the first time the Magic have won three games straight in two years. The Magic defeated the Toronto Raptors for the second time in three days in Orlando, 111-99. The team now holds an 8-20 record overall. Orlando Magic Head Coach Jamahl Mosely spoke postgame regarding his squad’s recent three-game winning streak.
“You put three games in a row — I think we’re headed in the right direction,” Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said. “We’re asking our guys to defend at a high level, which they did. We’re asking them to move the basketball, which they did, and stay poised down the stretch they’ve done.”
Franz Wagner led the way for the Magic. Wagner scored 23 points on 6-for-14 shooting from the field. Wagner knocked down 3-for-5 from behind the three-point line. He also knocked down 8-for-10 from the free-throw line. Wagner grabbed three rebounds and dished out four assists as well. Wagner spoke postgame about his team’s performance and the win postgame.
“I think we’re figuring stuff out, especially these last couple of games,” Wagner said. “People are beginning to adjust to how we play and throw different stuff at us, so we’ve got to keep working.”
