The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a contract with free agent guard Langston Galloway, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Presumably to make room for Galloway, the Suns also waived guard Elie Okobo, per John Hollinger of The Athletic.
Galloway, 28, has spent the previous three seasons with the Detroit Pistons, averaging 10.3 points in 66 games last season. The 6-foot-1 combo guard did so while shooting a career-high 44 percent from the field, including 40 percent on 3-pointers.
It’s been a busy offseason for the Suns, who recently acquired veteran point guard Chris Paul from the Oklahoma City Thunder and signed small forward Jae Crowder in free agency.
They also landed center Damian Jones and guard/forward E’Twaun Moore.
Okobo spent each of his first two seasons with the Suns but became victim of a numbers game after the trade for the Paul. That was especially the case after the Suns picked up the option on guard Cameron Payne‘s contract and re-signed restricted free agent guard Jevon Carter.
