The Boston Celtics returned home for Game 3 of the NBA Finals and they were determined to protect the home court. The Celtics did just that, defeating the Golden State Warriors 116-100. The Celtics now have taken a 2-1 lead in the series. Celtics Head Coach Ime Udoka spoke postgame regarding the Celtics’ strong performance and their resiliency as a group.
“We talked about it quite a bit, our group being resilient and being able to fight through a lot of things and at times when it’s most needed being able to lock down on defense,” Celtics coach Ime Udoka said. “We did in the fourth quarter,”
Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics. Brown scored 27 points on 9-for-16 shooting from the field. Brown knocked down 4-for-8 from behind the three-point arch. Brown also grabbed nine rebounds band dished out five assists on the night.
Jayson Tatum had a big night for the Celtics as well. Tatum scored 26 points on 9-for-23 shooting from the field. Tatum knocked down 3-for-9 from behind the three-point arch. Tatum also grabbed six rebounds and dished out nine assists.

- Al Horford scored 11 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out six assists.

The NBA Finals now moves on to game 4. Game 4 will take place Friday, 6/11 from Boston at the TD Garden. Tip-off is at 9 pm Eastern/ 6 pm Pacific. The game will air nationally on ABC.
