The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a one-year contract with free agent small forward Solomon Hill, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Hill joins a veteran Hawks free agent class that also includes forward Danilo Gallinari and guards Rajon Rondo and Kris Dunn (and potentially shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic). They also acquired guard/forward Tony Snell in a trade with the Detroit Pistons.
Hill, 29, has been a journeyman of sorts recently. He appeared in 48 games with the Memphis Grizzlies prior to being dealt to the Miami Heat at the NBA trade deadline in February.
Hill is 6-foot-6 and averaged 5.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in a total of 59 regular season games. He made just seven playoff appearances during the Heat’s run to the Finals.
