Celtics big man Robert Williams (left knee soreness) is listed as questionable for Friday’s Game 6 against the Bucks as Boston faces elimination. Williams’ left knee, which was operated on in March, began flaring up again which has forced him in and out of the lineup all postseason long.
Al Horford, who has been great all series long, should see a formidable amount of minutes if Williams can’t play which isn’t the worst-case scenario thanks to the Celtics’ depth.

- Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his right knee and is considered doubtful to return for the remainder of the playoffs, the team announced. It comes as no surprise he has been ruled out for Friday’s Game 6 in Golden State as Memphis faces elimination. Morant suffered the knee injury during the second half of a blowout Game 3 loss to Golden State. Expect Tyus Jones to take the all-star’s place in the starting lineup with the help of Desmond Bane in the backcourt.
- Khris Middleton, who is dealing with a left MCL sprain, continues to make progress in his recovery but remains sidelined indefinitely, the Bucks announced last Thursday. Before the Bucks forward returns though, he will have to “first show that he can run full weight-bearing in a straight line with no pain, issues or setbacks” prior to making a return, per Landon Buford.
- Kyle Lowry, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, has been in and out of the lineup for the top-seeded Heat. Despite missing the last two games of the conference semifinals, he should get a few days of extra rest to have an outside chance to play in Game 1 of the conference finals against the Bucks or Celtics. If he is unable to play, Gabe Vincent should once again see a formidable amount of playing time in Lowry’s absence.
- Sixers wing Danny Green went down with an apparent left leg injury after Joel Embiid’s weight came down on the guard in the team’s Game 6 loss to the Heat. Green will undergo an MRI, however, there’s “significant concern on the severity” of the injury, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
- Warriors’ Otto Porter (right foot soreness) is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies. Meanwhile, Golden State’s Andre Iguodala has been ruled out for Friday’s Game 6 against Memphis due to an ongoing neck injury. Finally, Warriors guard Gary Payton II, who suffered a fractured elbow in the Warriors’ 106-101 loss to the Grizzlies in Game 2, will be re-evaluated in one week, the team announced last Thursday.
