Small forward Jae Crowder is leaving the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat after agreeing to a three-year contract with the Phoenix Suns, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Crowder played a key role by knocking down outside shots and defending the perimeter during the Heat’s somewhat surprising run on the Disney campus.
He will now join a Suns team that went 8-0 after the NBA restart and traded for All-Star point guard Chris Paul. Crowder will add another veteran presence to a lineup that also features the likes of shooting guard Devin Booker and center Deandre Ayton.
